The Marília Ramos Ferguson Scholarship was created by the Brazilian Business Group (BBG) to honor the legacy of Marília Ramos Ferguson, a beloved member of the Brazilian-American community who dedicated her life to education, cultural exchange, and empowering future leaders.
This scholarship aims to support Brazilian-American students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to strengthening the ties between Brazil and the United States through business and community engagement.
Eligibility Requirements
- Be of Brazilian descent or demonstrate a strong connection to the Brazilian-American community
- Be currently enrolled or accepted in an accredited college or university in the United States
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Demonstrate financial need
- Show leadership qualities and community involvement
How to Apply
Applicants must submit a completed application form along with supporting documents including academic transcripts, a personal essay, and letters of recommendation. The scholarship committee will review all applications and select recipients based on merit, need, and alignment with the scholarship’s mission.
